Parliament committee on High Posts have approved the Government appointment of 08 new diplomats.

  1. C. A. Chandraprema – Permanent Representive to the United Nations
  2. Milinda Moragoda – High Commissioner to India
  3. Ravinatha Ariyasinghe – Ambassador to United States
  4. S. Amarasekera – High Commissioner to South Africa
  5. Retired Admiral Harischandra Silva – Ambassador to Afghanistan
  6. Wishramal S. Gunasekera – Ambassador to Japan
  7. Prof. Kshanika Hirimburegama -Ambassador to France
  8. Dr. Palitha Kohona – Ambassador to China
