The Sri Lanka Army established a new Drone Regiment today.
Army Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said that the technology will be utilised for the benefit of the country and the citizens.
Meanwhile, Police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana announced that drone technology will be used to track down violators of movement restrictions between Provinces and in areas under lockdown.
He said stern legal action will be taken against those violating the restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus. (NewsWire)
