The Sri Lankan Embassy in Lebanon has introduced helplines for Sri Lankan citizens residing in the country who are in distress due to the escalating conflict with Israel.

The hotlines have been introduced after Israeli air raids hitting mostly southern and eastern Lebanon killed at least 492 people and wounded at least 1,645.

According to the country’s health ministry, the attack is the deadliest day of conflict in Lebanon since its 1975-90 civil war.

Amidst the crisis, the Sri Lankan Embassy in Lebanon urged its citizens to contact the following hotlines for assistance.
