The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna inquired if any individual bestowed with the title of Field Marshall can function as a member of Parliament.
Addressing Parliament, an SLPP MP questioned if an individual with an active title from the forces can be elected as a Parliamentarian, as it was prohibited by the Constitution of Sri Lanka.
Responding to the question, Minister Chamal Rajapaksa said he will conduct a research on the matter and thereafter respond.
