Representatives of 16 Buddhist organizations, including the Sinhale organization, visited the Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI) to inquire into the recent controversy over food with cancer-causing toxins being distributed to the local market.

A group of monks representing the organizations met with Chairman of the SLSI Nushad Perera and conducted an inquiry in this regard.

They further condemned the views expressed by the Director General of the SLSI Siddhika Senaratne during a recent interview with a private television channel. (NewsWire)
