Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi has revealed that six people had suffered from blood clots after receiving the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine in Sri Lanka.

The Health Minister said however health experts of the World Health Organization (WHO) have studied the cases and confirmed that the blood clots were not caused due to the vaccine.

The WHO has found that it is inevitable that nearly four to five individuals per million people die due to blood clots linked to the vaccine, she said.
