Mrs. World Inc. has announced that it has accepted the resignation of Mrs. World 2020 Caroline Jurie.
The Organization said Mrs. Ireland, Kate Schneider who had emerged as the first runner up in the pageant last year, will be named as Mrs. World 2020 in place of Jurie.
Jurie relinquished her title after she was involved in an incident that had occurred at the Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. World pageant 2021.
She had uncrowned the winner of the pageant over claims that the contestant was a divorcee.
However, upon being proven that the contestant was eligible to contest, a complaint had been filed against Jurie and former model Chula Padmendra over the incident.
They were later arrested by the Cinnamon Gardens Police and released on bail by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court. (NewsWire)
