The Police have sought public assistance to apprehend the chief suspect behind the stock of heroin that was seized off the coast of Beruwala in August.
The chief suspect behind the drug operation has been identified as Kaludura Chaminda Dabrew aka Kaludura Bob Marley.
The suspect, who is a resident of Malabe, is wanted over the 288.64 kg of heroin which was seized from a fishing trawler during a joint operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Police and Navy on 31st August.
Five suspects were arrested following the raid, after which investigations had found that the chief suspect involved in the smuggling attempt was Kaludura Bob Marley.
