The opposition, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), has handed over to Parliament the proposal to abolish the Executive Presidency.
Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa informed Parliament today that the proposal has been handed over to the Speaker of Parliament.
SJB Leader MP Sajith Premadasa had handed over the proposal to party Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara, who in turn had presented it to the Speaker.
The proposal includes several Constitutional Amendments, including the abolishment of the Executive Presidency and the 20th Amendment.
