Sri Lanka vs Australia series : How to purchase tickets

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Secretary Mohan de Silva says the sale of match tickets for the Australia Tour will commence on Saturday, the 4th of June.

He said tickets will be sold via ticketing units set up at the SLC premises and will not be sold at the match venues on the day of the matches.  

Mohan de Silva further said that the sale of online tickets will also commence on Saturday. 

“As the Covid situation has been contained we have opened up the matches for spectators. However, due to security reasons, we will not sell tickets at the stadium. We have not restricted the number of spectators per match,” the SLC Secretary said. 

Mohan de Silva said that the prices of tickets have not been increased due to the state of the country, adding that four matches are to be played at the Ketharama Stadium in Colombo. 

“Tickets for stands C and D at Ketharama have been priced at Rs. 300 and at Pallekele in Kandy it is around Rs. 500. A and B upper level will cost between Rs. 3000 to Rs.3500. B- Lower has been priced at Rs. 2500,” he said. 

Australia will play two Tests, and three One Day Internationals (ODI) and Twenty-20 Internationals (T20I) each during the tour of Sri Lanka. 

The first T20I between Australia and Sri Lanka will take place on the 7th of June in Colombo. (NewsWire)
