Tourism Minister Harin Fernando has decided to appoint Cricketing legend Sanath Jayasuriya as the Tourism Ambassador of Sri Lanka.
A special event is scheduled to be held on Thursday to announce the appointment along with the new tourism advisory board.
Sanath Jayasuriya is hugely popular around the world and it’s reported that he had agreed to be part of Sri Lanka Tourism promotion events voluntarily, especially targeting India, Pakistan, Bangladesh & The Maldives. (NewsWire)
