Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli has slammed a video on social media shared by a fan revealing his hotel room in Australia.
Kohli is currently in Australia with his Indian team participating in the ongoing T20 Cricket World Cup.
The said video, with the caption ‘King Kohli’s hotel room’, shows an individual walking around the cricketers’ room breaching his privacy.
However, it is unclear how the individual obtained access to the cricketer’s room or his identity.
Responding to the video, Virat Kohli said, “this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy.”
“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment,” the cricketer added via a post on Instagram. (NewsWire)
