Two persons who were injured in a shooting reported in the Thiranagama area in Hikkaduwa this morning have been pronounced dead upon admission to the hospital.
The Police Media Unit said that the victims are two men aged 26 and 47 and are residents of Hikkaduwa.
They had been shot while travelling on a motorcycle and the suspects had fled the area following the shooting.
The injured victims had been admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital following which they were pronounced dead.
The Hikkaduwa Police is conducting further investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
