Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Prof. Channa Jayasumana has laid blame on fellow party MP Namal Rajapaksa for the failure of former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, Prof. Channa Jayasumana said the SLPP had expected Gotabaya Rajapksa to heed their advice and work accordingly.
“Even though Gotabaya Rajapksa worked so for the first few months, however, he disregarded the advice of the party members, including former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa,” he said.
Prof. Channa Jayasumana further said that Gotabaya Rajapaksa had only listened to the advice of MP Namal Rajapaksa and some other family members, which led to his failure as a President.
He added that Gotabaya Rajapaksa would not have failed if he had heeded the advice of the SLPP group.
Prof. Channa Jayasumana also slammed MP Namal Rajapaksa for attempting to lay the blame on the party members for his actions. (NewsWire)
