The Court of Appeal has decided to allow examining the petition filed challenging the citizenship of the State Minister of Tourism Diana Gamage.
Taking up for consideration the writ application today, the court ordered the Immigration Controller to submit the relevant documents on her citizenship.
The court further fixed the next calling date for 12th December 2022.
The writ application was filed by civil activist Osanda Lakmal Anil Herath seeking a ruling that Gamage was unqualified to serve as a Member of the Sri Lankan Parliament.
