Approximately 500 heads of livestock have died in the Northern Province owing to the prevailing cold weather conditions, the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association said on Friday.
The Sri Lanka Veterinary Association stated that the livestock included cattle and goats.
Meanwhile, over 160 cattle alone are reported to have died in several villages in the Kilinochchi district due to the prevalent inclement weather conditions.Â
