The air quality in Sri Lanka has significantly improved as of 09.30 am today in comparison to yesterday, the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) said.
Several areas that were in the unhealthy categories have now improved to between unhealthy for sensitive groups and good air quality as per the NBRO’s Air Quality Index.
‘Orange’ alerts have been issued to the Hambantota, Badulla, Kegalle, and Battaramulla areas, which are unhealthy for sensitive groups.
Dambulla and Jaffna have been issued a ‘yellow’ alert which shows moderate air quality in the two areas.
A “Green” alert which is good air quality has been issued to the Puttalam, Mullaitivu, Mannar, and Polonnaruwa areas. (NewsWire)
