A 46-year-old owner of a restaurant in Hanwella has died after being shot by unidentified gunmen near the Hanwella crossroad last night (18).
The Police said two unidentified men on a motorcycle had fired at the victim while he was inside his restaurant.
The suspects had used a pistol to carry out the attack and had fled the area following the shooting.
The Police said the victim had succumbed to injuries after being admitted to the Padukka Hospital.
The cause for the shooting has not been uncovered as yet, while the Hanwella Police have launched an investigation to apprehend the suspects. (NewsWire)
