A 29-year-old youth has died by suicide after failing to secure overseas employment to assist his family.
According to Lankadeepa, the victim had attempted suicide at his residence in Akuressa leaving behind a letter and regret over not being able to help his parents.
Upon finding his body, the relatives of the youth transported him to the Akuressa Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Police stated that the youth had been upset after failing to obtain a pass mark in the Korean language Examination by losing 5 marks.
According to his mother, he is the eldest of three children and had acted in sorrow for being unable to help the family. (NewsWire)
