Leader of the ‘43 Brigade’ MP Patali Champika Ranawaka and the ‘New Lanka Freedom Party’ led by MP Kumara Welgama have reached an agreement to work together for the upcoming Local Government (LG) election.
Addressing the media, MP Patali Champika Ranwaka said the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in this regard was signed in Colombo today(16).
Commenting on the agreement, MP Patali Champika Ranwaka said that the two MPs will work together with those representing both the ‘43 Brigade’ and the New Lanka Freedom Party, as well as other friendly and independent political parties from several areas.
He further said that the new coalition will also feature various political parties that are against the Rajapaksas. (NewsWire)
