The Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) Janaka Rathnayake has declined to revise the electricity tariffs proposed by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).
Rathnayake has expressed his rejection in a letter addressed to the Cabinet Secretary.
In his letter, he cites reasons as per the Electricity Act of 2009 for his decision to decline the revision of electricity tariffs.
