An agreement has been signed to provide uninterrupted electricity supply from today or tomorrow until the conclusion of the 2022 GCE Advanced Level Examination, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) Janaka Ratnayake said.
Ratnayake said that the agreement had been signed during a discussion held with various parties at the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) today.
The various parties had expressed confidence that uninterrupted electricity could be supplied until the conclusion of the state examination, he said.
Ratnayake further said that all parties had signed the agreement put forth in this regard.
He added that the discussion had focussed on resolving the issue of power cuts during the examinations and on the necessary funds required to provide uninterrupted electricity supply. (NewsWire)
