Serjeant-at-Arms of the Sri Lankan Parliament Narendra Fernando has advised that vehicles including buses should maintain a maximum speed 40 km/h on roads within the Parliament complex, The Lankadeepa reported.
The Serjeant-at-Arms has said that the birds living in the Diyawanna wetland area as well as the school children visiting the Parliament could meet with accidents when vehicles are driven at high speeds.
He also mentioned that information has been received that some vehicles are driving at high speed on roads within the Parliament complex. (NewsWire)
