A 14-year-old boy has been arrested over the murder of his 26-year-old brother in the Palathota area in Thekawatte in the Kalutara South Police Division.
The Police said that an argument between the two siblings escalated resulting in the 14-year-old attacking his elder brother with a machete.
According to the Police, the incident had occurred while their mother was visiting their father who was hospitalised.
The Police stated that the victim had succumbed to injuries upon admission to the hospital.
The victim is a resident of the Palathota area in Thekkawatte. His 14-year-old sibling has been arrested over the murder.
The Kalutara South Police is conducting further investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
