The Department of Examinations has commenced accepting applications for the competitive examination pertaining to the recruitment of teachers for government and provincial schools, the Ministry of Education stated.
Issuing a statement, the Ministry stated that graduates below the age of 40 who are employed in the state sector are eligible to apply to sit for the competitive examination.
The Education Ministry further stated that this measure is being taken to primarily fill the shortage of teachers in the GCE Advanced Level classes and thereafter other vacancies in state schools. (NewsWire)
