United Motors Lanka PLC has assured that it will continue to represent Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Japan in Sri Lanka.
Issuing a special notice, United Motors Lanka PLC stated that its relationship with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Japan will remain unhindered in the future.
The sole distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Sri Lanka issued the assurance following media reports that the Japanese conglomerate, Mitsubishi Corp. is reportedly set to wind up operations in Sri Lanka by 31st March 2023.
The Daily FT reported that Japanese giant Mitsubishi Corporation has decided to wind up operations in Sri Lanka after being an integral part of bilateral ties and some of the country’s key infrastructure projects for nearly 60 years. (NewsWire)
