The National People’s Power (NPP) held an election rally in Kinniya, Trincomalee on Thursday (09) under the leadership of party leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Addressing the gathering, Dissanayake said that current Muslim political leaders are deceiving the Muslim community in the country.
“When an election is near, the leaders distribute a fraction of the money they earned through illegal means, which is haram” he said.
He further said that this political culture should be changed and the NPP is a party for all races and not a Sinhalese, Tamil or Muslim only party. (NewsWire)
