Leader of the main opposition, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Sajith Premadasa has raised concerns over the proposal put forth by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) to eliminate private property ownership.
In a Twitter message, MP Premadasa pointed out that the JVP’s proposal to eliminate private property ownership is deeply concerning and that he firmly believes such extreme measures would do more harm than good.
“Instead of leading to the liberation of individuals, it will suppress individual freedoms and hinder economic growth,” MP Sajith Premadasa claimed.
He further stated, “as a society, we must strive for social justice and equality while ensuring that our policies promote Our country’s and people’s prosperity.”
