Twelve (12) suspects have been arrested in 08 areas for the possession of heroin within the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 am today.
The Police stated that a 42-year-old resident of Grandpass was arrested with 12.72 grams of heroin yesterday. The suspect will be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court today.
Two suspects aged 24 and 41, residents of Maligawatte, were arrested with 5.10 grams and 10.17 grams of heroin in two separate raids in the area. The suspects will be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court today.
Two residents of the Athurugiriya and Kaduwela areas, aged 28 and 41, were arrested for the possession of 06.20 grams and 06.10 grams of heroin during two raids conducted in the Athurugiriya area yesterday. The suspects will be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court today.
Two suspects aged 32 and 43, residents of Thalagala and Hanwella, were arrested with 06.30 grams and 07.60 grams during a raid conducted in the Thlagala area in Moragahahena yesterday. The suspects will be produced before the Horana Magistrate’s Court today.
The Police stated a 35-year-old resident of Badalgama was arrested for the possession of 05.44 grams of heroin during a raid conducted in the Lihiniyagama area in Badalgama yesterday. The suspect will be produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate’s Court today.
A 39-year-old resident of Mount Lavinia has been arrested with 05.20 grams of heroin during a raid in the Badowita area in Mount Lavinia last night. The suspect will be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court today.
A 41-year-old resident of Panadura has been arrested for possession of 05.16 grams of heroin during a raid conducted in the Horanthuduwa area in Panadura North yesterday. The suspect will be produced before the Panadura Magistrate’s Court today.
A 26-year-old resident of Pittakotte has been arrested with 05.45 grams of heroin in the Mirihana area yesterday. The suspect will be produced before the Gangodawila Magistrate’s Court today. (NewsWire)
