Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Mayantha Dissanayake says he has decided to resign from the post of Chairman of the Parliament Committee on Public Finance (COPF).
MP Mayantha Dissanayake told NewsWire that he will write to the Speaker of the Parliament, informing his decision.
The name of MP Mayantha Dissanayake was proposed by the ruling party MPs for the position of Chairman of the Committee on Public Finance.
MP Dissanayake’s name was proposed, when the chief organizer of the opposition, Lakshman Kiriella, had proposed the name of SJB MP Dr. Harsha De Silva for the post of COFP Chair. (NewsWire)
