The government has inked an agreement with the Japan International Trainee and Skilled Worker Cooperation Organization (JITCO) to get more job opportunities opened for the Sri Lankan youth in Japan.
Accordingly, the JITCO will provide opportunities for the Sri Lankan youth to enroll in ‘Technical Intern Training Programmes (TITP) and ‘Specified Skilled Worker Programmes (SSW).
According to Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara, these programmes will help migrant workers to connect to the job market in Japan.
Officers Masato Kume, Naoki Komi and Shigeo Matsutomi participated in the event representing JITCO.
Labour and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara, the Ministry Secretary, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) acting Chairman and its senior officials also participated in the event. (NewsWire)
