Ten (10) new Cabinet Ministers will be appointed soon, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP S.B. Dissanayake revealed during a television talk show.
Responding to questions raised by the local media talk show hosts, MP Dissanayake said that the new appointments will probably be announced in March.
He further said that SLPP’s Janaka Bandara, Johnston Fernando, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Gamini Lokage, Sarath Weerasekera, S.M. Chandrasena, C.B. Ratnayake, and himself are among the proposed names.
MP S. B. Dissanayake added that, however, SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa’s name is not among the list of names that have been proposed to the President.
Revealing that the list has already been handed over to the relevant authorities, the MP stated that the SLPP has made a request for those mentioned in the list to be appointed as Cabinet Ministers.
