The Department of Meteorology says that as per the atmospheric conditions, thundershowers are expected in most parts of Sri Lanka in the afternoon today.
Therefore, showers or thundershowers are expected at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central, North-western and Uva provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya and Mannar districts during the afternoon or night.
Fairly heavy rainfall of about 75mm is likely at some places in the Sabaragamuwa province and in the Kalutara, Galle and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Meanwhile, a few showers may also occur in the coastal areas of the Eastern province. (NewsWire)
