Minister of Power & Energy, Kanchana Wijesekera has requested the public NOT to panic over fuel supply shortages.
Minister says adequate fuel stocks are available & distribution will continue, and fuel distribution delay due to trade unionists preventing employees from attending to their duties have been normalised, with police and armed forces providing security at the terminals & distribution.
“The CPC assured that there is no fuel shortage & the Government assured the unhindered supply of fuel & urged the public not to panic and congregate at fuel stations” President’s office also said in a short statement
