Sri Lanka has failed to directly qualify for the ICC ODI World Cup following another defeat in New Zealand today.
Sri Lanka lost 2-0 to New Zealand in the just concluded ODI series and have been eliminated from the top eight (08) of the ICC Super League in which the top eight teams have direct qualification for the world cup.
Sri Lanka will require to play in the ICC World Cup qualifiers which will be held in Zimbabwe in June/ July in which the top two teams will qualify for the ICC ODI World Cup.
The ICC 50-over World Cup will be played in India from 5 October to 19 November 2023. (NewsWire)
