The sun will be directly above five areas of Sri Lanka today, the Department of Meteorology stated.
The department said the sun will be over the latitudes of Sri Lanka until the 15th of April due to its apparent northward relative motion.
Therefore, the nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today are Kalpitiya, Dunupotagama, Nikawewa, Somawathi Temple and Verugal.
The Met Department said the sun will be directly above the said areas around 12:11 pm. (NewsWire)
