Bodyline, the global leader in producing superior next-to-skin performance wear, is proud to sponsor the Sri Lankan Athletics Association and support the development of young athletes with technologically advanced apparel. The sponsorship includes the provision of sportswear for the seven-member junior athletic team who will be representing Sri Lanka at the Fifth Asian Youth Athletics Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
As part of the sponsorship, Bodyline partnered with Sri Lanka Athletics to create bespoke performance wear that empowers the athletes on the world stage. The design of the sportswear features blue and gold, colors that are synonymous with Sri Lanka and are inspired by the Gajasimha. The Gajasimha is a solar symbol that combines the power of the primeval elephant and the lion. The Gajasimha exemplifies man’s capacity to innovate and face challenges, a fitting symbol of inspiration for these young athletes. The Sri Lankan junior athletic team will proudly wear the Bodyline sportswear at the Fifth Asian Youth Athletics Championship, displaying the Gajasimha-inspired design.
The feedback received from the Sri Lankan runners is continuously analyzed to improve the product and continue the cycle of innovation and the program has already borne fruit, with Medhani Jayamanne becoming the fastest female sprinter in Sri Lanka and Yupun Abeykoon securing a Commonwealth Games medal in the men’s 100m event. Bodyline is excited to be a part of this journey with the junior athletes as they compete on an international stage.
Bodyline’s sponsorship and partnership with the Sri Lanka Athletics Association demonstrate its commitment to the development and empowerment of young athletes. We are excited to see how this partnership will grow and evolve bringing glory to Sri Lanka.
