Wellawatte Police have arrested a biker gang involved in vehicle side mirror theft. The gang was arrested after analysing CCTV footage of their crimes.
The footage showed the gang members arriving at a parking lot on motorbikes. They would then get off their bikes and walk up to vehicles. They would then use a crowbar or other tool to remove the side mirrors. Once they had removed the mirrors, they would get back on their bikes and flee the scene.
The police were able to identify the gang members from the CCTV footage. They were then arrested and charged with theft. The gang members are currently in police custody and are awaiting trial.
The police are urging motorists to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the police. They are also advising motorists to park their vehicles in well-lit areas and to lock their vehicles when they are not in use.
