Two women have been arrested in Mannar for financially defrauding Rs. 600,000 promising jobs in Qatar.
The Police stated that the women were arrested yesterday (May 03) based on a complaint filed with the Mannar Police in this regard.
The suspects, aged 23 and 42 years, are residents of Kayts in Jaffna.
The Police stated that the suspects have been released on bail after being produced before the Mannar Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
The Mannar Police is conducting investigations into the matter. (NewsWire)
