ICC World Cup qualifiers: Sri Lanka’s all 9 opponents confirmed

Ireland vs Bangladesh 1st ODI has been called off due to rain.

South Africa are directly through to the World Cup and will not play the qualifiers after Ireland Vs Bangladesh 1st ODI ended with no result today.

With South Africa qualifying Ireland will now be the 10th team to join the qualifiers.

The associate teams in the World Cup Qualifier are the USA, UAE, Scotland, Oman and Nepal, who each qualified via a top-three finish in the World Cup League Two ODI competition which ran from 2019 through 2023.

They will be joined by the bottom five teams in the ODI Super League: Netherlands, Zimbabwe, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Ireland.

The World Cup qualifiers will begin on June 18th in Zimbabwe where the finalists will qualify for the World Cup.

Sri Lanka is playing a series with Afghanistan in Hambantota ahead of the qualifiers as preparation. (NewsWire)
