A 53-year-old man was reported dead after being shot by unidentified gunmen near Leslie Ranagala Mawatha in Borella early today.
The Police stated that two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle had opened fire at another individual who also was travelling on a motorcycle.
However, the victim succumbed to injuries upon admission to the Colombo National Hospital.
The victim has been identified as a resident of Kelaniya, while the cause of the shooting is yet to be ascertained.
The Borella Police have launched investigations to apprehend the suspects who had fled the area following the shooting. (NewsWire)
