Minister of Power and Energy, Kanchana Wijesekara, has stressed his request to Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene to initiate appropriate disciplinary and legal actions against the dissemination of false statements made in Parliament concerning the operational aspects of Sinopec Fuel Oil Lanka’s fuel station business in Sri Lanka
“Sinopec has issued a statement clarifying their position with regard to the allegations & assumptions made in Parliament & other statements published in the media with regards to the local agents for Fuel Station Operations in Sri Lanka. I have also requested the Hon Speaker to call to the Privileges committee & take necessary disciplinary & legal steps against the false statements made” Minister said Sharing a statement released by Sinopec.
