Showers are expected in several provinces today, the Department of Meteorology stated.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces.
Fairly heavy showers of about 75 mm are likely at some places in the Rathnapura, Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in the Northwestern province, while, showers or thundershowers will occur in the Central, Uva and Eastern provinces during the evening or night.
