Mohammed Nabi top scored for Afghanistan with 23 runs, followed by Ibrahim Zadran with 22 runs and Gulbadin Naib with 20 runs.
Dushmantha Chameera was the key destroyer for Sri Lanka picking up 4 wickets.
Meanwhile, Wanindu Hasaranga bagged 3 wickets, and Lahiru Kumara and Maheesh Theekshana picked up 2 and 1 wickets each for Sri Lanka.
Chasing a target of 117, Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan by 09 wickets, reaching a score of 120 with 204 balls remaining.
Dimuth Karunaratne gave a stellar performance top-scoring for Sri Lanka with 56 runs in 45 balls.
Sri Lanka’s Patthum Nissanka contributed with 51 runs, while Kusal Mendis was 11 not out.
