India and other cricket boards have accepted Pakistan’s hybrid model for the Asia Cup 2023. Latest reports from PTI suggest that the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan matches will be hosted by Sri Lanka.
Pakistan will host four matches of the Continental Cup in Lahore, while the remaining 9 games, including two matches between India and Pakistan, will be contested in Sri Lanka.
Pakistan will also travel to India for the 2023 ODI World Cup. The schedule of the global event is expected to be announced in the next 48 hours.
Chennai is likely to host the 2023 World Cup match between India and Pakistan. However, if the Men in Green reach the knock-out stage, the will have to play their games at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The rift between the the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was behind the delay in announcing the World Cup Pakistan were not ready to play in Ahmedabad. On the other hand, India refused to play the Asia Cup in Pakistan. (CricToday)
