The body of a woman suspected to have died in a suspicious manner was found inside a house in Kelaniya yesterday (18).
The Police stated that following an inspection of the house, it was found that the woman had died a few days prior.
The deceased has been identified as a 42-year-old resident of the Gonawala area in Kelaniya who had been residing alone.
The Police had found the body after a complaint was filed claiming a foul smell was emitted from the house.
The Magisterial Inquiry and the postmortem examination were conducted yesterday.
