The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has decided to extend the validity of temporary driving licences to 2 years, it was reported.
According to Hiru News, temporary driving licences issued from next Monday will be eligible for the extended validity period.
The Department of Motor Traffic is reportedly working on the Gazette notification in this regard.
It is reported that the decision has been taken to address the bulking up of temporary driving licences due to the shortage of printing cards. (NewsWire)
