Three shooting incidents have been reported in separate areas within the last 24 hours ending at 07.00 am today.
According to the Police, a 52-year-old individual has died after being shot in front of his residence in the Siddarewa area in Kosgoda early this morning (21).
The victim had been shot by an unidentified group which had fled the area following the shooting.
Police investigations have found that a Pistol was used to carry out the shooting, while the Kosgoda Police have launched investigations to apprehend the suspects involved.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man has died after being shot by two unidentified gunmen inside a medical laboratory on Piliyandla Road, Kottawa early this morning.
The Police stated the gunmen who had arrived on a motorcycle had entered the medical laboratory and shot at the victim after which they fled the area.
The victim has been identified as an employee of the medical laboratory.
Police investigations have found that a Pistol was used to carry out the shooting, while the Kottawa Police have launched investigations into the shooting.
Furthermore, a 46-year-old man succumbed to injuries after being shot at his residence in the Niyandagala area in Homagama last night.
The Police stated that an unidentified group had entered the victim’s house and shot him after which they had fled the area.
The victim who is a resident of Homagama has died while receiving treatment at the Homagama Hospital.
The Homagama Police has launched an investigation to apprehend the suspects involved. (NewsWire)
