Headline Inflation based on the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) is recorded at 22.1% for the month of May 2023, the Department of Census and Statistics reported.
The department said in its latest report that it is a drop from the 33.6% recorded in April 2023.
Food inflation has decreased to 15.8% in May from the 27.1% recorded in April, while Non-food inflation has also dropped to 27.6 in May from the 39.0% recorded in April.
