A bus toppled over after being hit by a lorry near Jubilee Bullers Junction on Duplication Road in Bambalapitiya early this morning (Aug.14).
According to the Police, a private bus travelling from Colombo to Kataragama had been hit by a lorry plying from Thunmulla junction.
The Police stated that fifteen passengers had been onboard the bus at the time of the accident.
Two women and five men who had sustained injuries in the incident were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
The Police suspect that the accident may have occurred due to the driver of the bus disregarding traffic light signals.
